Tower of Light commissioned by Walk The Plank and Hartlepool Borough Council for The Tall Ships Festival 2023.

Back in May, I was asked to compose a piece of music for Hartlepool Tall Ships Festival 2023 before embarking on the Morgenster Ship myself.

This piece was commissioned by Walk the Plank and Hartlepool Borough Council. The spoken word was created by the local poet Kirsten Luckins, we explored the past, present and future of the North East of England.

Section A explores the legacy of St Hilda and St Cuthbert, followed by the industrial revolution, the pits, the steelworks, the trains and the fishing industry, to the future of the environment and advancement of technology.

It was amazing to be able to focus my work on my heritage, ancestry and home.
